Oof. I'm still learning how to use professional redstone to make my maps more fun to play on. I have a whole world based on nothing but redstone experimentation, and I even have a huge PvP map that you can fully explore with hundreds of different arenas to battle in, stores, save points, stories, easter eggs, hidden areas, and vice-versa. I even have levels in the map that aren't batylw arenas that are dungeons you can test your skills on in once you reach the end, there's powerful weapons awaiting you to duel with!
And I also have a small map that's inside a built house with several rooms that you can fight mobs in to earn experience and such to make your given weapons and equipment you start out with some upgrades at the enchantment table, I even have working slot machines that is locked that you need to get the key which is hidden somewhere around the map and once you get the key you can exchange coins for better gear.
