The mario movie starts with bowser invading ice land, to steal the super star, the star is in the hands of the penguins, bowser uses brute force to get through the penguins, imprisoning them. It cuts to mario and Luigi in a pizzeria, they are bullied by Spike, their old boss. Mario and Luigi get a call from someone who wants them to fix a drip in their sink, mario and Luigi half-hazardly fix the sink before they go home, they have dinner with their family before mario goes to his room, and TV he sees there is a problem with the sewers overflowing, mario and Luigi go to fix the problem but get pulled through a mysterious pipe, Luigi lands in the dark lands and mario lands in the much room kingdom
