Okay look, what I mean is that not everything in past was better. Sure they had great stuff such as these bands you listed, but those decades had a lot of bad stuff happening as well. I just don't like how people think the past was heaven on earth for everybody and the world was at peace back then. I especially don't like how people think that all of today's kids are spoiled/rude/lazy/soft/dumb and don't have a childhood and how they also think that things went to hell after the year 2000. An honest opinion from me is that I enjoyed growing up in the 2010's because there were some cool stuff like Gangnam Style, Minecraft, Angry Birds, The Amazing World of Gumball, etc. I also grew up on some classic movies, toys, and TV shows as well. I really don't like how people think that today's kids are spoiled, lazy, have no respect, etc. What is hypocritical is when people say that kids today have no respect for the elders, but at the same time, they are the ones being disrespectful to the kids of today by calling them soft, weak and spoiled. A lot of kids I've seen were the complete opposite of any of those things people call them and heck, they still play outside a lot.

I'm sorry if that was really long for you to read. The main point is that I want people to stop hating on the present and glorifying the past, when they could just enjoy the best of both worlds. For people who keep doing this kind of shit, I just wanna let you know that you are just wasting your time for nothing. I know you enjoyed being a kid, but a lot of you are adults and you should just move on and try to make the best of life today while you can and appreciate the new stuff as well (along with the old stuff), since we all have one life and can't really relive a lot of our childhood memories.

It's okay. In all fairness, I recognize that most of the stuff isn't wholly black or white. For example, there are a lot of things I like about the 1980's, but there are also some things that I really, really didn't like. The machine gun ban, Fine Young Cannibals, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, the anti-drug campaigns, the Video Game Crash, the Reagan administration, and Mac and Me.
