I did quite a lot of reading as a child, too - I primarily prefer to read non-fiction books like encyclopedias, dictionaries, books on science-&-technology / philosophy / history and any textbooks that I brought home from school, as well as The Bible (when I was a pre-teen child, I was a bit of a mad-lad theologian who frequently debated with my local Church pastor on a variety of theological things).
I also figured out a solution to the Theory Of Baryogenesis (why matter exists over anti-matter in the universe) as a child, too - but that's another story.
