Actually, as I recall, there was one line in one of the Gospels that said there was a great multitude of people weeping (I think it was Matthew, I'll have to double-check). So it wasn't the exact same people, but the same population.
It took only 5 days for the people who proclaimed "Hosanna!" to proclaim "Crucify Him!"
God came down to Earth, and man scourged Him, spat on Him, and killed Him. And yet he never stopped loving us.
