Image Dimensions

Image Dimensions | Image dimensions should be based on resolution instead of purely basing it on aspect ratio:; 600x450 should not be the same size as, for example, 60x45. Even though they have the same aspect ratio of 4:3, the former is bigger, so the image should be bigger. | image tagged in blank white template, ideas, blank template, resolution, dimension, images | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Do you understand what "fit to screen" is?

Obviously, the size would still be adjusted to each device's screens. However, the extent for this proposed model would be smaller. The image still has the potential to be bigger depending on the device. In this model, adjustments to the size would only be done when:

1. The image does not fit in the UI.
2. When in Full Screen (which is itself another proposal), the image does not fit in the device's screen. For example, an SD smartphone rendering an HD image.

This proposal is tailored a bit more towards people with bigger screens looking to find details that can not be seen normally with the current model.

Obviously, to not make images too big, Imgflip should impose a dimension limit like GIFs.
I personally think it should be 1920x1080.

I just found out that an option for this exists, so this idea is pointless now.

that's literally how it works, you just need to use the "use the original resulotion" (or something like that) option
