Symbolism of the egg.

Eggs represent the beginning of everything. Many creation myths around the world describe the universe hatching from a great egg. Monkeys don't lay eggs, but in east Asian countries they say that the divine monkey king Son Hou-zi/Wu-kong/Goku was born from an egg fertilized by the wind. Clay eggs have been found in Russian burial sites as a symbol of immortality/rebirth. Some nutritionists call eggs the ideal food. Among sexual, gender & romantic minorities (SGRM), an egg is someone who hasn't yet recognized their true sexual/romantic orientation or gender identity. In the 20th century the phrase "Easter egg" referred to secrets hidden within a video game. By the 21st century it had shifted to hidden content on a DVD.
