In the staff report I see many excuses as reasons why the city is financially in the state it's in.
The PAL lawsuit, which is your fault, and has drained the city of most of it's financial resources. Exceeding one hundred million dollars, correct? We'll just call this your way of not protecting the children.
The May 31, 2020, rioting and looting, again your fault. With some but not enough additions of police officers to keep the city safe. Hopefully you will be planning to rectify this issue more in the near future. Because then the city's financial future will look brighter.
And do you still have the no bail action in place? Allowing criminals to offend again and again.
Then all of you sitting up there now, and before you wanted the Covid pandemic to last as long as possible, giving you more power and control. Yet what you did with it was create more divisive special interests. Because isn't divide and conquer by races your strategy? As well as further fund your special interests at the expense of the taxpayers.
And speaking of at the expense of taxpayers, the city seems to be well on it's way to being, the city with the most staff per resident again. But City Hall services are still closed to the public, except developers. So please tell me how much residents are getting for their money from the city's high-priced staff.
I mean considering staff no longer considers property owners and residents as stakeholders. Now apparently staff considers Black Lives Matter, Community Corporation, and environmental activists, as the only stakeholders that matter.
You spend fifty thousand dollars for each homeless person yearly, to keep them on the street. And is having the needle exchange program in so many places within the city, your way of assisted suicide to addicts instead of helping them?
Oh and did you forget the payment to your lawyers for the CRV case?
Showing you put your special interests before the residents and city as a whole. Maybe you should switch your way of thinking.
