Nope, but what it means is that people and companies can be bought and paid for to say whatever they want. Just like with the pokies, scientists who don't spout the same things, even if they have data, get silenced.

Funny story, I did a graduation thesis on all this. I barely included any actual numerical data. I just talked about how climate change bad, deforestation bad, humans bad, and most of my "information" was just repetitive wikipedia-level headline talking points which I gathered over the course of a week from wikipedia, Nat Geo and the History channel (I was lazy and literally held off until two weeks before graduation). Even in front of the panel of judges for my project, I didn't get any serious argumentitive questions from them. I passed without question. I was relieved then, but looking back since, I don't know who was most disappointing.

Yeah this technique been used since 1890 or smt, and it's really sad how humans treat science nowadays. But it doesn't makes climate change fake, where I am we can see the consequences live.
I just want to raise awareness because people seem to jump into conclusions, but this sh*t could kill us if we just let it be.

Yeah, like most people I know agree it's a problem, but we all just hate the fearmongering, finger pointing and rush to do things that just aren't feasible yet. I've never met anyone who had a problem with helping the environment. Just the activism, ya know?
