I just found that to be a little weird | I think the Imgflip GIF Maker should add support for WebP files. I find it weird that the Meme Generator does but the GIF Maker doesn't. | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

That is because WebP is an image file, you can use that in the Meme Generator but the Gif Maker wouldn't recognize it.

Well, WebP also supports animation, like .gif files.

When I save a GIF from Fandom, my PC saves it as a WebP.
And when I convert the file to GIF, it shows multiple frames at once.

WebP isn't supported, yet. Out of all I've tried, the common video formats, .mp4, .gif, .mov, .flv, all work. YouTube and TikTok URLs work, Instagram Reels don't.

And what do you mean by showing multiple frames at once¿ Is the gif not identical to the webP version?

Strangely not.
Idk why, but it never shows the animation correctly when I convert it.

I usually convert videos to mp4 while saving them, never had any problems.
This problem might be because of how animated webP works, it simply paints the next frame over the current frame which might be why you're seeing apparently multiple frames at once.

There might be a browser extension to help with saving files in your preferred type instead of the default webP, which isn't the coolest option if we're dealing with video files.
