Around 60% of human diseases are caused by organisms shared by animals and humans. We know this because epidemiologists spend careers investigating the causes of diseases. About 0% are known to have been developed out of thin air in labs, and accidentally leaked into the atmosphere. If I was to develop such a disease, I would want one that my enemies were more likely to get, than my friends. I would want one spread more like HIV that required specific close contact, rather than by a sneeze or coughing, making its infection of my friends and countrymen as easy as it infected my enemies. "Lab Covid." makes no sense. "Zoonotic Covid" follows the pattern seen in multiple epidemics.

Raccoon Dog.
Yeah, sure, whatever…
See,Larry…this is what happens when the government lies to the people. They stop trusting anything they say.

You have to factor in your equation that they dont care who is killed. China does not care about its own people much less the rest of the planet. I dont know all of the facts so i dont believe the news. 👍

When the Chinese government undoes its hyper-focus on improving the individual Chinese citizen's access to good food, I will buy the argument that they don't care about them. They see "The People," as key to their rise from a third-tier country to having the second largest economy in the world, as well as a major military presence. A couple of years ago they bought one of the top bio-tech companies in the world. The improvements they anticipate in their agricultural sector should benefit domestic access to food and exports.

"In an effort to apply more rigorous standards to National Intelligence Estimates, the National Intelligence Council includes explanations of the three levels of analytic confidence made in estimative statements.

High confidence generally indicates judgments based on high-quality information, and/or the nature of the issue makes it possible to render a solid judgment. A “high confidence” judgment is not a fact or a certainty, however, and still carries a risk of being wrong.

Moderate confidence generally means credibly sourced and plausible information, but not of sufficient quality or corroboration to warrant a higher level of confidence.

Low confidence generally means questionable or implausible information was used, the information is too fragmented or poorly corroborated to make solid analytic inferences, or significant concerns or problems with sources existed."

Actually, the FBI's "Moderate," confidence in the "Lab leak theory," does not warrant a "high level of confidence." All other US Agencies that have registered an opinion, give this a Low level of confidence. meaning "implausible information was used in its formulation." FYI.

I have this fantasy where you actually produce scientific facts to support your "clever," shots. Where are the facts proving that the theory that COVID is Zoonotic arising from infected, exotic animal meat sold at a Wuhan market a "lie?" I will gladly read whatever scientific source you cite.

All I can do is to keep posting the information that is science based.

(The Wuhan virus originated in a seafood market that sold live animals.) Serious scientists identified this as a probable source, early on. Credible evidence to the contrary has not emerged.

The above line from the "Business Insider) article above was attributed to Eric Toner, a scientist at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. This was published right after the first COVID-19 death in the US. At that time China had "locked-down" Wuhan and two close cities in an attempt to control the outbreak.
