Yeah if Russia can’t invade a geographically small European country (albeit with the support of most of the western world) efficiently, I give world conquest maybe 5 minutes before total collapse.

Reminds me of a joke: “a barricade in Berlin will stop the USSR for one hour and five minutes. One hour laughing and five minutes pushing it over.”

Here is how it would go:
Russia invaded Poland
NATO obliterates Russia’s military
Russia launched nukes
NATO launches nukes
Most Russian nukes don’t work or are shot down
Russia becomes a radioactive wasteland

I don’t see issues. Russia is more likely to attack Poland than another NATO country. If Putin is not doing great against a somewhat outdated Ukraine they would be obliterated by a modern NATO. Russia would resort to nukes when their conventional weapons don’t work. Most of their nukes are not functional because of corruption(admittedly any getting through would be terrible). Article 5 means that the US would respond with its nukes which are enough to destroy Russia.
