Nobody should be phobic against anyone, but it is how it is. We're all human, which means that everyone's different and won't agree with everything, but that includes people on BOTH sides. When I "left the community," I stopped supporting and advocating for them after they cared more about being activists than about being people, and went out of their way to hurt anyone who didn't support them and have a general dislike for straight people and Christians. I've seen lives ruined over false allegations, I've seen endless bullying against straight people, and even one man pushed to the point of trying to delete himself and requiring yaers of therapy to deal with his PTSD over it. They act in ways they claim their "enemies" do.
You don't have to be an activst to prove you're a good person. Good people don't need to prove it. All groups like that do is take advantage of people, convincing them to be scared and be angry and to trust no one but that group and shunning anyone outside of it. It's like a cult. The unfortunate reality is that the vast majority of people aren't homophobic. They keep to themselves to be left alone so they don't get caught up in this idiotic civil war, but they literally see everyone the same as long as they're a good person. They won't get any attention though, only the loud ones on both extremes do, which are the ones you either see or are told about.
