*Tidepool nudged the young tom to inform him of her presence* "Hello, young one. I take it you're Jaypaw? Brindlepaw brought you up I believe." (Brindlepaw is Tide's clan's med-app)

Jaypaw: she did? That’s odd, I didn’t think she liked me enough to mention me

"She tends to be more hostile with cats outside her clan, but we all know it's just a front. Once you get to know her, she'll open right up." *Tide purred* "I'm Tidepool, by the way."

Jaypaw: Nice to meet you! I’m Jaypaw- you already knew that

"Well, it's great meeting you in person." *She chuckled* "Has your training been going well?"

Jaypaw: oh, yes! It's been really exciting and interesting! but, for some reason, I feel like I already know a lot of this stuff . . .

"Maybe we all subconsciously pay more attention to things around us than we think. I actually learned much of my current hunting skills from silly nursery games. Maybe it's a similar case with medicine apprentices."

Jaypaw: maybe . . . it's odd . . . it as if- well, nevermind

"This may be a strange question, but can you see alright? Your eyes are a bit cloudy." *She spoke carefully, not wanting to offend or embarrass*

Jaypaw: ah, um, no *looks away begrudgingly, though seeming more mad with himself then Tidepool* . . . I'm Blind . . .

*Tidepool stiffened a bit, fearing she'd said something wrong. Her voice softened as she turned back to the tom* "Well, I'll say this: you don't make it obvious. You get around so well I was beginning to think Brindlepaw was just exaggerating when she mentioned it."

*Jaypaw looks back, ears perked in surprise*
Jaypaw: really?

Maplepaw: "Um, hi?"

*Tidepool dipped her head in greeting* "Good evening. I don't believe I've seen you before. What's your name?"

Maplepaw: "Maplepaw. Why?"

"Well, if it's your first gathering, I ought to make you feel welcome." *She smiled warmly* "To be fair, though. I shouldn't assume it's your first. I wasn't here last time."

Redmoon: hello small one

*Tidepool's tail twitched* "Am I really that small?" *She tipped her head to look up at Redmoon* (yes, yes she is really that small)

(Redmoon's a maine coon, she's really big)
Redmoon: for me you are

"Well, maybe you're just large. I'm Tidepool, by the way. I don't believe we've spoken directly but I feel like I've seen you before." *The mottled she-cat paused for a moment, thinking* "Perhaps you were on a patrol I ran into at some point." *She concluded*

"You don't look like you belong here. Curious about the gathering?" *The warrior's head tilted* "Don't worry, I won't make your presence a big deal. This land belongs to all clans, and in my interpretation at least, that includes outsiders like yourself."

E: im not in any clan, i just like watching these fools.

"I'm quite aware of your loner status. And unfortunately, I can't say you're wrong in calling them fools. They're entertaining fools, though, don't you think?" *She gestured into the branches of the great tree* "Take that cat up there, the dark gray one. That's Pikestar, ThunderClan's leader. Not all that well versed in leading a gathering. I remember getting stuck on moss duty for a moon after I laughed as he stumbled over his whole announcement." *She couldn't help but snicker as she looked back on the moment*

E: indeed. i typically keep to myself, hunt along the borders, nobody ever bothers me, usually because they cant see me. but ive seen some... things, and sniffed out some tracks.

"What kind of tracks?" *She leaned in a bit, like a kit hoping for a story from an elder*

E: wolves.

Blizzardfur: (pure white with icy blue eyes) Hello

*Tidepool gave a dip of her head as greeting* "Good evening. Did you have a safe journey here?"

"A few slip-ups. Thorntail lagged behind a bit, but you can't blame him for that. The cat's ancient!" *She purred* "I don't think I can remember a time when he wasn't an elder."

8smiles8 i heard he was an amazing warrior in his day. he entertains the kits with his stories and i often find myself laying with them as he gets into one of his tales

"He does love to ramble about 'the old days.' He carried me through half my apprenticeship. I got stuck on elder duty a lot. I might just know all his tales by heart."
