But surely, most of the native american tribes would have already heard about what america had done to the cherokee and such, so they would have no motive to fight along side either america, considering they rightly hate what has happened to them, so the natives are out, and even if they did, there is no evidence saying that the confederates wouldn't sell them into slavery, and also, where the duck are they going to get so many emus?????

the emus would easily crush the U.S with their superior guerrilla style warfare and hit and run attacks as the us only had 2 million troops while the C.S.A had about 1.7 million soldiers plus the natives adding another couple hundred thousand, but most of all. the Emus who easily crushed a 1930s when the Australians had better technology than the U.S and that was only with 20,000 troops. so with 1 mil they wold be utterly unstoppable.

not really all the emus would die due to unsuitable envierment and they would go against the CSA at one point so inaccurate your claim.

Hey guys, I gotta say, thanks for all the articulate comments. Although I was really putting it out here as a joke, I like to learn, too.

It would definitely be a lot harder for the US, but emus don't really live in America so Emus is inaccurate and at the time of the civil war all natives were removed by the removal act, and only few remains and they took little interest in the war.

So a few problems with this. First off, most of the non-enslaved natives had already moved westward. Any other remaining ones would hate both sides for stealing their rightful land, and not join. Emus, on the other hand, would probably be against both sides, as eastern, mid-temperature forests are NOT their natural habitat. They also wouldn't have the right food, resulting in many emu casualties. Plus, emus are Australian. So it just wouldn't work out.
