...and their components are also probably assembled by 5 year old kids on 18 hour shifts in factories, like basically anything else that has electricity-related stuff in it

read up a bit on wiki, it's used in li-ion batteries, so yeah, there's already some danger to it just by that

How ever, brands like ford and nissan do not use child labor or cobalt for that matter as they work with the un (or some government) to find more renewable batteries
