I'm asking because a site mod temporarily banned a user who follows a stream I own for using a homophobic slur in a non-offensive manner.

Several words are categorically disallowed.
You cannot make posts that mention the word, even if it's said by someone else on Imgflip or elsewhere.

The way to post something that contains the word, is to censor it before posting it; if you think the word is adding to the content you're posting and you can't erase it completely, try censoring it in a way that makes it comprehensible to those that make an effort to read it and ideally, asking a sitewide mod if it can be allowed in the context.
All that comes after you mark your post NSFW.

Still, understand that there's no guarantee whether your post would be allowed, because that depends on the mods' discretion.
