Exactly, because in real life, as in a football season, everybody starts out the same with an 0-0 record and at the end of the season there is only one champion. That's EQUALITY where everyone has an equal chance to excel based upon the effort that they put into it.

EQUITY means that everyone finishes with the same result and the only way to accomplish that is to hold back the achievers.
