"I have a different perspective as I am Canadian. Your system of government allows your politicians to move across the spectrum regardless of their core values."
Well actually I'm an Australian, hence why my username is AustRINO, meaning Australian Republican into Neoconservatism and Other. I now identify myself as a Republican leaning independent in American politics, whereas in Australia, I support the Centre-Right party (The Liberal Party) who believe in Liberal Conservatism.
"Where as the Canadian system demands loyalty to one party without transgression."
Same with Australia, the people of Australia are generally more progressive and there is an upcoming state election in New South Wales.
"We have whipped votes in our house of commons that requires members of parliament to vote along party lines even if they disagree with a Bill. Best they can do is abstain and there is no guaranty they won't be thrown out of caucus or back benched meaning they have no say in tactics in the prime ministers office."
Same story with Australia.
"They even have to be careful what they say in public as it can have dire consequences. I find U.S. politics very entertaining, where as Canadian politics don't have nearly the expressive flare and are very dry and boring."
But I do remember in Canada that they had a massive anti vax protest with truck honking, which Australians tried that but failed to copy Canada's anti vax protests for many reasons. That was a really exciting moment in Canadian politics, but otherwise I don't really follow Canadian Politics, but I'd probably just support the centre-right party in Canada if I had to pick a party.
