God help you if the variant you're stuck with is a Yugoslavian M76, because on the off chance you live long enough to have to replace some parts, most of the parts are proprietary. Russian, Chinese, Romanian, Hungarian, Polish, and East German AK's could have most of their parts swapped around if need be, but not Yugo ones. Yugo AK's only take Yugo parts.
