One man's utopia is another man's dystopia. Does this therefore mean that neither dystopia nor utopia is even hypothetically possible? Would it be defined based upon the opinion of the majority? What if that majority didn't know any better then? If it was defined by the opinion of the majority, then North Korea would be a utopia. So then is it based upon the opinions of an outside observer? That really depends. If someone from North Korea (who was hypothetically enlightened on the state of their own country) were to look at America, he would say that America was a utopia because of the freedom. However, according to some (rather stupid) British and Canadian people, America is a dystopia because of guns and healthcare and shit like that.
