why? because you're too lazy to change your settings to not notify you when someone follows a stream you moderate?

it does if no one pays attention to them.
you wont recieve notifications of them following the stream.

I doubt that, a few minutes after I turn it on there'd still probably be more

if you stop paying attention to them and making a big deal about it, they will stop because they enjoy you making a big deal out of it
