Yeah, that’s not good. The finale’s ending was still heartwarming, though.
However, in said universe (and when all fictional lifeforms are in the real world), the Core may have been destroyed in 2022, but after its demise (and the world’s saving), in March 2024, (btw, the ending scene from the finale is a glimpse into the main three girls’ future as adults), a tiny piece of the Core’s leftover DNA mixed with an archived piece of Marcy’s blood (from when Andrias stabbed her in 2020 that was put into a jar) to form a clone of Darcy, who’s now doing more sinister antics in addition to continued schemes of universal conquest.
