I used to love watching him satirize the right. Now his so called humor is nothing more than bitter anger thinly veiled.

I don't believe you. The trouble with your "I used to love X until very conveniently about 4 years ago, now they're just Y" copy-paste is that you can only do it once without us noticing. Stephen Colbert's comedy has been completely consistent with itself over the years so either you hated him then and don't want to admit it because you're worried it would make you unrelatable, or you love him now but don't want to admit it because you'd look like a traitor to your friends.
