They need to extend the awards to cover other extracurricular activities; such as shoplifting, car jacking, and drug dealing...

The ironic thing is that after the furious parents generate a massive class action lawsuit against the entire state of Virginia those activities will be the only things that the state will be able to afford to award as 'participation' trophies.
