I get it. We are all human.
I don’t mean to say that a person will no longer be afraid of, say, heights, or public speaking, or spiders & snakes. What I mean:
In the big picture, We don’t fear Man. We fear God. “Fear God” = healthy respect for; devotion honor loyalty love praise worship glorifying etc.
Whatever ‘Man’ can do To us, is nothing. Man has no power, authority, or influence over my eternity. Sure… maybe man can influence my life on earth, good/bad. Yes, pain & suffering are very difficult to live with. But they end. The worldly good, & the worldly bad, end. Eternity does not end. God, our Creator has divine power to control where we spend our eternity. Never-ending joy, or never-ending suffering.
We answer to Him. Him alone.
Many people have a tremendous fear of dying. Perhaps they don’t know the Lord; or they think that this life is all there is; or, maybe they know they are going to hell. They are terrified of dying.
But, when you know that your salvation is sealed —eternity in heaven with your Creator— the rest is small potatoes.
When you die, you go to heaven.
Then, dying is not a bad thing. It’s a good thing.
No need to fear death.
Death creates suffering for two types of people:
1). the survivors who are left without their loved one.
2). those who go to hell.
If you have a personal relationship with Christ… when you die, you are going Home. You won’t be suffering, you will be in the greatest place ever imagined…. Beyond your wildest dreams.
Your loved ones —who also know the Lord— will be with you again someday, in heaven. Your loved ones who died before you, will be there too, welcoming you. It will be a joyous time.
In heaven, you will realize what true happiness is. Bliss, nothing better.
In comparison, EVERYTHING that happens here on earth —apart from God— is like a vapor… here, & gone. The Things of This World are not what is important. It’s not what we should be focused on. What IS important? God. His Kingdom. Being about His work, furthering His Kingdom. Everything you do —in that light— is important. Whatever we are doing Outside of that, is not important (big picture).
As a Christian, continue to seek His face. Have a righteous walk. Let your thoughts words deeds be pleasing to Him. You REFLECT who you are. Love honor obey your heavenly Father.
If you were accused, in a court of law, of being a Christian… would there be enough evidence to convict you?
