I get where you are getting at this, but they still trespassed. 3 years is ridiculous, and corrupt government officials should get longer than "Community Service", but it doesn't change that he probably shouldn't have trespassed in the FIRST place

I said that the government official should've gotten a longer sentence. I DIDN'T say that the trespasser should've gotten 3 years if he was JUST trespassing. If he was ILLEGALLY trespassing, that should've ONLY been 3 months to 6 months, or just doing community service around the area. I was moreso focused on the OFFICIAL, and I still THINK he should've had a sentence and NOT community service.
But you can also just ignore that and focus on one part for no reason
