About three years ago, most of the popular kids used to be friends. It wasn't as big of a population as it is now, but they knew each other. They used to hang around on 69 other streams while most of the interaction happened on Middle-School.
When MSmg came into being, it was an empty place with no real purpose, which was actually a good thing because then everybody just started to hang around on MSmg and spamming, shidposting, ERP'ing in public (there was no Memechat 💀), or just talking with friends.
It blew up because all the popular kids moved here.
But then, we got massive alt follows which boosted the stream up in the public streams' list. It's not something we're proud of, but when it got mainstream, we got even more actual followers.
Now most of the followers are legitimate, but we still owe troll alt raids for a sudden surge in follower count, which is what originally put us above MEMES-OVERLOAD.
