The Archie character was supposed to make fun of conservatives by showing them as crude and ignorant. Crude, perhaps, but he was usually right in his arguments with Meathead. To me it showed liberals, as exemplified by Mike, in a bad light.
Yeah... I wanna be influenced by a member of a community that needs a dozen award shows to pat themselves on the back while being the biggest hypocrites on Earth. Pass. 🤪
