Apparently, one of my favorite YouTubers, when she was younger, once broke her leg and didn't feel any pain. She ended up going to the doctor because obviously she couldn't really use it for anything. The doctor said "Yeah, she has a broken leg" and because she didn't feel any pain, they didn't give her a cast and she just limped around without a cast until it got better
