When it comes to child labor, our goal is to build up a Moral Movement that, through force of sheer persuasion, may eventually one day persuade big corporations to give up their misguided practice of underpaying and exploiting children as young as 5.
Please note we're *not* anti-textile industry, we're *not* anti-coal industry. Of course we support free enterprise. We don't believe Big Government is the solution to anything.
Please note also we're not workers'-compensation extremists. If employees get injured or killed on the job, despite ample training and the utmost precautions, it's clearly their fault.
Finally, please note this is not a "woke" movement, it's not a cancel culture movement, it's not a name-and-shame movement.
It's just a quiet movement of average folks talking to each other about the harms associated with child labor. But also: The benefits associated with child labor. Because we know this is a complex and sensitive issue, and we eagerly want to hear both sides and competing perspectives as well. After all, maybe we're wrong. We're an honest movement that is open to that possibility as well.
