Here is the link to download Stanford list of words that I will continue to use regardless of how mainstream this becomes.
file:///C:/Users/rlaws/Documents/Democrats/Stanford%20University%20-%20Harmful%20words/stanfordlanguage.pdf

In some cases they give you words to use in place of these "harmful" words. For example, they want you to make a complete fool of yourself by referring to Hispanic people as "Latinx". I can almost guarantee that if you call someone from Mexico or any country south of Mexico a Latinx they are going to wonder what you are saying. There is a good chance they will laugh at you once you explain what you are calling them.

And just how do you pronounce "Latinx". I've heard some say it as "La-teenks" and others saying it as "Latin X". Regardless both imprecise terms, which ironically is the category the word Hispanic fall under on the list.

Isn't producing lists like this a form of oppression? Our free speech is being oppressed? And how soon will it be before this list has to be revised to include all of the replacement words.

For example, one of the words on the list is "retard" or "retarded". Etymologically those words means late or slow. They were used to describe people whose mental abilities are such that they cannot perform complex tasks. School kids started using those words to call another kid as an insult.

So those words were replaced by "mentally challenged". How long did it take before "mentally challenged" was used to insult someone with? So that was changed to "mentally disabled" or "neurodivergent" (as used in this list). Soon "neurodivergent" will become the new insult for kids to call each other.

This list was clearly created by white liberals who never interact with anyone. They sit around all day long thinking of ways they think other people might find offensive. They hate this country and think everyone except for them are all racists, sexists, homophobes and so on. One of the sections in the list is entitled "Colonialism". Colonialists are what communists call the United States and the Great Britain. The absurdity is that communists want to "colonize" the entire planet with their tyranny. That has been the goal of communists, socialists, fascists, Nazis and any other variation of Marxism.

And how do Marxists colonize a country? Two ways, violent overthrow or gradual steps, like changing the language.

And they got so much negative feedback they quietly walked back their insane suggestions...

I didn't know that. That negative feedback must have come from outside of the campus because Stanford is across the bay and a little south of U.C. Berserkly. It is pretty much the same type of student who attends either college and they all suffer from extreme wokism.

If they are intolerant to the word, "straight", it won't be long before "the", "an", "and", "what" and "who" are added to the list. They are working diligently to make society full of illiterate morons.

It is a form of control. Liberalism is full of narcissists, both the politicians and voters. Actually, narcissism is what motivates nearly all politicians to run for office, not just liberal politicians.

What better way to control the people then to convince narcissists that certain words are no longer acceptable. Then these liberal narcissists will go out an enforce speech behavior on everyone they meet (because controlling other people is just what narcissists do) without the government having to pass laws, laws that would violate the 1st amendment.
