Same way with many things in life. No matter how many times I eat olives, I have never wavered in my opinion that they are disgusting. I have seen the movie maybe a half a dozen times over the year. I still have the same opinion. That you have a different opinion tells me all I need to know.

The ENTIRE POINT of Forest Gump is that the whole thing was a Republican baby-boomer fantasy where Forest Gump owned the libs at every turn. That's not opinon. My opinion is that Forest Gump is a trash movie for that exact reason - THAT'S opinion.
