the US government wants to ban TikTok because it's a spying app by the Chinese gov't. It's constantly tracking your position, constantly recording your audio and video. The Chinese gov't used TikTok to track the phones of U.S. soldiers entering secret U.S. facilities, that's why the State dept. is pushing to ban the app because it directly reports data back to the Chinese gov't.

It's not conspiracy theory. That's actually what started the whole discussion of banning TikTok by the government, but since this happened while Trump was president, then of course the media had to blame it on him.

That's their choice. We shouldn't ban an app because of the users choices. It isn't right for others to be punished because of the actions of those who partake in these challenges/trends
