Calling something mine or my is taking ownership of it.
Why take ownership of something you don’t want?
Leave it alone, if you see it, don’t pick it up, just notice it “oh. I see depression is here. Hello.” And then move along to looking at something else.
Remember, the real YOU of you is what’s looking at different experiences like depression and anxiety, happiness and sadness.
Those are just phenomena that occur within the looking.
