I sat on the opposite side of the classroom and each week lined up beside a cute blonde girl who was my crush, but by the time we got to the music room, I was always lined up next to Tanya Inge.
As we square danced I watched every democrat boy (there was only one other republican kid in my class- everyone was openly an FDR democrat- there were only 2 I like Ike) reach out to do si do only to pull their hands back at the last second for the entire class.
