This year's Nobel peace prize was divided between Memoria (a Russian human rights organization) & similar organizations from Ukraine and Belarus, all of
which are trying to negotiate peace. This in spite of the Russian government shutting the group down for opposing the war. Upon hearing the news, the government said it was inappropriate to share an award with Ukraine & ordered Memoria to turn it down. They ignored the order.
