The point I was attempting to make (although it must have been a very poor attempt as it seems you have missed my point entirely) is that its just such a meaningless thing to bring up. The point you were trying to make has been made time and time again, to no avail. If the movie didn't have queer characters in it, nobody would be talking about its failure. Who cares that a Disney movie with queer characters flopped? It didn't fail because of the character decision, it failed because Disney failed at advertising this movie. I didn't hear about this movie until the end of November. Plus, there's so many other cool new movies and shows happening right now, its not worth going to see that movie when you could watch something else, like the new black panther movie, or stay home and watch Netflixes series about Wednesday Adams.
Again, the point that I'm trying to make is that this is a stupid thing to talk about. Movies fail all the time. You don't care about those movies, do you? I'm guessing not. You only care about this one because it has ideals that contradict your own.
