Yeah, they won. A f**king free to play gambling, pay to win cash grab bait and switch game about dumb anime waifus from 2020 won against a game that was being worked on tirelessly for 5 years, that the developers worked their limbs off to make it one of the best Sonic games in years, with tons of fan service, a high budget, amazing story and music, great characters, some of the best boss fights in the series and therefore in gaming as a whole, extreme attention to detail, and something you only pay for once and that is worth every penny. Sonic Frontiers wasn't some soulless cash grab. It was a genuinely good game with heart put into it. I hope Genshin fans learn sometime that their game is just a cash grab with no heart in it.
