Trump's political career will end one day. But the shame it brought to the GOP, and our country, is eternal.

It won't be because he peddled racist conspiracies about President Obama. It won't be because he called Mexicans rapists. It won't be because he tried to ban Muslims from traveling. It won't be because his SCOTUS nominees turned back women's rights by 50 years. It won't be because he cozied up to Putin. It won't be because he withheld military aid in an attempt to pressure Ukraine to dig up dirt on a political rival. It won't be because he horribly botched the federal government's response to the worst pandemic in a century. It won't be because he refused to concede an election, pursued a scheme to overturn the result, and then incited a mob to attack the U.S. Capitol when it failed. It won't be because he stole classified documents. It won't be because he cheated on taxes. It won't be because Republicans decided to reject anything that Trump stands for. Remember, if Republicans do one day finally turn on Trump:; IT WILL BE FOR ONLY ONE REASON: HE LOST.
