I actually like kpop generally, but idk about baby shark.

What is the difference between normal pop and K-pop other than one is from South Korea

Actually, there are many differences. K-pop is actually not a genre of music, but an industry. Specifically, the majority of the Korean music industry is labeled as “K-pop” although it really may not be 'pop' music. Pop however, like I said, is not just “pop” but many genres. BTS, a well known Korean boy group, has songs with different genres, so they can be just labeled as one genre. Their songs, “Save me”, and “Idol” are pop. Their song “Mic Drop” might just be Hip-Hop, and many others have EDM, indie, jazz, rock and other elements in them that don't simply make them pop.

But if Baby Shark is a South Korean song, why would they make a TV show outside of Korea?

I don’t think baby shark was made in South Korea, I’m pretty sure that it’s a camp song that people animated and put on the internet as a baby song/show, it was never intended for infants.

You fool. With the power of google I have learned that it was made by a South Korean company that is known as Pinkfong.

Well, the popular kid’s animations sure, those characters belong to them, but the song itself is public domain.
