Debunking conspiracy theories feels like a total waste of time. I’d much rather be spending more time on examining complex policy questions and answers. But genuine discussions of fact and law don’t stand a chance in a political environment where truth itself is made a mockery of. Undoing the tangled web of conspiracy theories that have ensnared so many Americans is the first step toward a future political climate where problems and solutions can again be discussed rationally.
