He is shown to be fully sentient in every form and capable of legible speech, so the only barrier is that he changes into an animal- but does he truly turn into an animal? Or simply a copy of it?
By extent, regardless of the ruling on this topic, should Beast Boy be domestically abused, would the abuser be charged with A) Domestic abuse, B) Animal abuse, or C) a count of both crimes?
