I'm not just surprised by Andor being a good show, but how much of a chance the the directors and writers took trying to do something different with Star Wars. It's odd seeing Hollywood make Epic's anymore especially for a TV/streaming service, last movie I saw (that I recall) that captured it's themes perfectly was, Saving Private Ryan. You don't see movies take themes seriously, and often you need to interpret them to dig deeper. Andor from what I have watched shows how a war and a rebellion are fought and actually won. I am surprised it it didn't pussy foot about with it's message, and just said it flat out.
A rebellion doesn't succeed by being "the good guys", because "The Good guys" don't have the stomach to do whatever it takes to succeed.
