Likely because you don’t have the “notify me when someone comments on an image I already commented on” setting on in settings.

That's just it: I totally do. And it totally notifies me when someone posts a new comment or replies to one of my comments, but not when someone replies to someone else's comment.

Blocked/hidden comments aren't the issue either, although I am aware that those don't generate notifs. (They also hide responses from people whose comments I actually want to see, which is why I almost never block people.)

The setting is called “notify me when someone COMMENTS on an image I already commented on”
Not “notify me when someone replies to someone else’s comment on my image”

Not sure what else I can do. I'm not particularly interested in getting emails.

I've all 3 boxes checked for over a year. And this is an issue even in my own memes that I've left comments on.

Lol, you've got to be drowning in notifs 24/7. I'm honored that you'd spend any portion of your time on me when there are 1,000s of other ways you could allocate it.

I enjoy engaging with (or at least seeing) every comment on the few memes I post. The joke memes don't really matter but I like to track all the conversation on my sounding-board, deep question type memes.

But two-bit users like me who see almost no activity on most of their memes would appreciate a 4th check box that provided this option. I may be the first one to suggest it (doubtful) but there's no way I'm the only one who would use it if it was available.

Whether it's worth paying a web developer $500 to spend a couple hours adding that functionality is another matter.
