Oh, snow! One of my favourite seasons and clearly one that is near and dear to the artist as well. This is so joyous, so wholesome. The inviting expression of the sweet little girl in the drawing is so well-crafted that it appears as if she is asking me, personally, to look at her tiny snowman creation. It doesn't stop with her, though. The footsteps in the backdrop, the texture of the fallen snow, and even the way the snowman in the back is mushy are all crucial parts of this wintry delight. The mushy snowman is intentional, to those not in the know, because what little girl of this character's age would make something perfect? Even the snow-capped mountains perfectly cap off this heart-touching scene. This is one of my favourites.
