Gonna be tough. The last 7 years of Trump scandals have put most of them on record sucking his cock multiple times. Odds are they just give up, just like they have so many times before.

Inside, underneath, over and all around everything we take for granted, there has been something horrible growing. Trump didn’t start it, but he exposed it. As messed up as it sounds,This Might have been what we needed. If nothing else it was a test to see if we would simp ourselves out. Not yet.

There’s only one good thing about Trumpism, as far as I can see: the idea that big companies have sold the working-class out to China, and politicians failed to do anything about it for years. (GOP policies still punished the working-class in many other ways, but this at least was right.)

Trump kept us out of new wars — even if he sent weird love letters to dictators, failed to timely end the Afghan War (kicking it down the road to after the election), and brought us way too close to the brink with the out-of-left-field assassination of Soleimani.

That’s two(-ish) relatively positive things drowning in a sea of toxic narcissistic cultism, science-denial, democratic backsliding, rumor-mongering, racism, sexism, xenophobia, bigotry of every kind really, and just plain weirdness.

And in the meantime, Democrats have ramped up the strength of their pro-labor and anti-war platforms, negating anything positive that could come from Trumpism.

Trump has changed our politics, no doubt. It’s not all bad, but it’s mostly for the worse.

I agree with most of that but I have to admit I’m not sure what you mean by Pro-labor Anti-war platforms negating anything positive.

I’ve never seen any indications that democrats actually want to win until now.

Afghanistan was rough, but I don’t think Biden gets the credit he deserves. The timing was Devine because how could we condemn Russia for Ukraine if we were still in Afghanistan. just strategically it seems to be brilliant.

Just plain weirdness indeed! It’s like the demon possessed furry version of America! Talk about American carnage! MAGA really did bring us to our knees. I don’t think we could have gotten much closer to the edge. We will have to see what happens but I am the eternal optimist and The US is still full of surprises.

Coulda been worse. I always had a feeling republicans were lying to gain power. Electing trump proves it. If they didn’t do that, they could’ve gone on tricking people.
