Cars are regulated so much because they're on government property called roads; you don't need all that if you're driving on a private road or on your own property lol.

As far as I know, you still need a driver's license to operate certain classes of vehicles even if you're off-roading, and the manufacturer still needs to uphold safety standards even if the vehicle never touches taxpayer-funded asphalt.

Lives matter. You might even say that All Lives Matter.

On a side note, most car deaths could be avoided if roads were engineered better and not based on how fast someone can go in their vroom-vroom car.
