The dread of living in a democracy - we get the leaders we deserve.

The problem isn't the mainstream voters who chosen to vote democrats. The problem is that the GOP have gone too much to the right.

GOP has pretty much abandoned all conservative social points except for abortion which I doubt will be supported on the national level for another 15 years. It'll pretty much boil down to those who want to debase the currency for more spending and those who don't.

Assuming Republicans can still win seats lol.

The GOP won't be winning any time soon because they're going too much to the right and many people have given up on the Republicans and probably would have headed off to the Dems

So that's the GOP's policies except for the MAGA movement but I don't know much openly Neoconservative GOP politicians are out there. But is it true that the pro-life movement is a part of the American culture like the Right to Bear Arms (2nd Amendment)?

Both parties are capitalist and I imagine will remain so.

We do have problems with the rise of fascism again with the fact that fascists are so dishonest and fascists are very dangerous. I'd say if one's above centre-right with American Politics, then they're a very dangerous person to talk to. Not to mention a heap of our fascists were convicted of a crime before getting into politics or sometimes while in politics.

For example, back in 2003, Pauline Hanson (a One Nation politician who is Australia's equivalent to Donald Trump) got jailed for electoral fraud for 3 years but was released about 11 weeks later. I bet that if the federal ICAC was built, then Anthony Albanese (Australia's PM) could investigate Pauline Hanson again but is more likely to investigate the Morrison Government (spanning between August 2018-May 2022).
