Funny, but not quite true. The Toyota hybrid Camry actually has faster acceleration than the ICE Camry. I’m assuming the Prius gets off the line quickly too- it’s an inherent trait of electric motors.
The real shortfalls of hybrid and electric vehicles are range, load carrying and lack of the feel/noise were used to. I won’t buy electric until these improve

Yeah, “funny” as I wrote.
Unfortunately some people take everything literally, even here.
I won’t give up my V8 until we run out of fuel. It’s too much fun to drive. Commuter driving though… not meant to be fun so electric doesn’t spoil the ride.
